SRA LogoThe firm of Academy Appraisal, LLC has been in existence since July of 1999 and includes a staff of professional designated appraisers with a combined experience of over 75 years. This firm has gained a reputation for doing competent, thorough appraisals of complex, residential, and special use properties. Each individual in the firm regularly attends courses and seminars to further their expertise and knowledge and are license and certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

As the principal appraiser, I have appraised a number of residential, commercial, land, rights-of-way and complex properties over the last two decade.

I received the RM and SRA professional Designations in 1989 for the American of Real Estate Appraisers and The Society of Real Estate Appraiser, now The Appraisal Institute in 1989. I have completed the requirements under continuing education program of the Appraisal Institute. Furthermore, I am licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and have completed the continuing education program adopted by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. Current Member of the International Right of Association since 1994.

Working as Senior Real Estate Agent and designated Realtor within the Richmond Metropolitan area. Consulting on real property to include a myriad of negotiating factors, but not limited to list and purchase price, terms, date of possession and often the inclusion or exclusion of repairs and furnishings or equipment. Negotiations of purchase agreements, rental agreements, exclusive right to sell, etc. Advice on appropriate inspections, investigations and financing before complete the purchase. Assist in review of preliminary title report of the property. Title indicates ownership of property and can be mired in confusing status of past owners or rights of access. The title to most properties will have some limitations; for example, easements (access rights) for utilities. Guide market participants from the initial sales agreement to closing (or settlement).
